FX Nation Live Review

FXNation Live – A Review

Lots of Forex Trading gurus come and go, generally riding hot trends that they're lucky enough to get a read on.  If these trends were all created equal, all of these gurus, and training programs would be created equal.  In reality, lots of events in the world impact forex markets, and riding the trends means analysis, gut hunches, and educated instincts.

One particularly interesting distillation of trend watching and instincts that we've had a chance to recently test is FXNation Live.  DC Bonta has been doing Forex Trading for over a decade, and while he'll be the first to admit that sometimes he gets a miss, his record is pretty good.  He's distilled a lot of what he's learned in doing this into his web site/blog called FXNationLive.

His service does cost a pretty chunk of change, so it's worth it figure out what he's got to offer.  The first is more than just a track record, it's also a documented list of why he did what he did, including what he learned from in making his mistakes.  He'll be the first to tell you that he held on to the Euro too long a few years ago, and he'll tell you why….and what you need to do to avoid the same mistakes he made.

Bonta's methodology is based on swings in the market – trying to use analytical tools to predict when the next swing changes the market's direction.  He gives twice daily analysis of the markets, including telling you what he's putting his money into.  He offers the option of opening an account through the same trading brokerage that he uses, so you can mirror his results – he doesn't make anything off of your trades.

To help you better understand what's going on, he has what he calls institutional grade plotting tools, and flash update services.  We're impressed with the charting tools; while there are some that are a bit more finely tuned, and some that respond faster to updates, these are more than we expected to see from a "bundled service".  Certainly, they're worth what you paid for them.

The training manuals and DVDs are, in our mind, a bit too "pushy" – while they do a good job of covering the system Bonta uses, they tend to gloss over some details, and they're really geared towards the "Plant Your Butt In That Chair And Watch The Market" school of da trading, which, honestly, we're not fans of.  We generally feel more comfortable with financial advisors that will also tell us when not to buy things; fortunately, his e-alerts are less hype and more analytical, and it's those e-alerts that are the real reason to sign up.

Finally, FXNationLive has some well populated forums with fellow subscribers.  There's a selection bias here – the people who populate these forums tend mostly to be fans of Bonta's system, so you're not likely to find many dissenting voices in the mix.  However, the end result of this is that you get a lot of corroborating research to go along with things, and slightly different spins, ways to take the trades at something less than the torrid pace Bonta advocates.

Overall, we recommend FXNationLive to people who're interested in a high energy, high management trading methodology. Learn more about the FX Nation Daily Training
